August Reading

So I've decided that I'm going to TRY to read one book a month,
at least!

This month's book is called "Fiend" by the AMAZING
Peter Stenson.

Check out the first page!

I am totally loving this book, just the way it's written has you thinking about things in a totally different way. Now before you jump into the pages, you have to know... that this is the story of Meth addicts who are fighting through a zombie Apocalypse. Basically.

Normally people would think that the druggies would get infected first right? So Peter TOTALLY flips that around and says, "A hell no, the healthy people are going to get it this time."

On top of that, I just love how he writes about the zombies, now don't worry I won't spoil anything! But if you're into the whole zombie Apocalypse thing, you should TOTALLY take a look at this book!

If you've read it, or once you're done reading it, or are still reading it. Why not take a minute to comment your thoughts on the story? I'm sure everyone would love to see what you think! I know I would, and who knows maybe even Peter Stenson will see it!

I finished it!

Personally I would have to give this novel a three out of five stars.

Firstly it was an okay read, but there were a lot of things in the novel that left me saying, "What the hell was that?" or "Did that really just happen?"

Secondly as it gets closer to the end, it gets even more confusing and I swear you just get tied in a knot.

Lastly, personally I don't think that the idea of Meth being the only thing to "keep you alive" was a good message in this story. Though then again, of course, you see that Meth is totally horrible, and will destroy your life if you use it. But in that kind of situation where you have to take a hit just to survive another day? Ah, not my kind of book.

The kind of books that I like, which talk about that kind of thing, are the Ellen Hopkins books. I'm not sure exactly whhhyy... but hey I like them, and own just about every one she's written. Oh yes!

Stay tuned for September Reading!
