Crazy Crafty and a Little Bit Nerdy!

Thank you in advance for reading this post.

Hello everyone!
It's been quite some time hasn't it?

I've come to you all today to let you in on a little secret project I'm working on, related to the online PvP game: League of Legends!

I'm a crafter you see, so I just love to make things!
So I have taken it upon myself to start what I like to call:
Crazy Crafty and a Little Bit Nerdy!
Where I'll be starting a line of nerdy crafts that I've made, or am making!

Please feel free to message me if you have any nerdy ideas for me!
It can be anything, FROM anything!

But this post is dedicated to my League of Legends project!
Here are some images to give you a clue as to what I'm making.
:D

 Aren't they cute?
Stay tuned for more clues on my mystery crazy craft!

We Are Legends

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this post.

I have finally reached level 30 in my favorite online game.

The game where I met a lot of my friends.

Speaking of friends, it was one of those friends who actually got me to play the game. His name was Chris.

I met Chris on an online roleplaying site called "The Keep." We wrote a lot together, and talked about things that were going on in our lives. After about three days of just chatting, I added Chris to my Skype where we talked even more. Things escalated from there and we became really good friends.

Unfortunately due to some events that I'm uninfluenced to share, our friendship fell apart, so we no longer talk to each other. I miss him very much, but I fear that I will never speak to him again. Of course, this makes me very sad.

Even so, I still play the game he introduced me to. I love the game!
It has helped me make so many new friends, and even my boyfriend plays. He reached level 30 long before me though.

I find that playing this game actually helps me concentrate better on most other things in my life, as in the game itself you have to be aware of your surroundings to make sure you don't get ganked.

My preferred role is known as the "Jungler." Where instead of going head to head against other players in the top, mid or bottom lanes, I run through the jungle where there are various monsters and minions for me to fight. In between fighting those monsters and minions I head towards the lanes to gank and help my teammates get or secure kills. It's my job to make sure that my team is safe in their lane, and to counter the other team by gaining control of the jungle on their side of the map.

I have not perfected the role, but it helps a lot to watch professional players.

The professional player that I actually watch the most is Meteos from Cloud9.

His real name is Will Hartman. He's (currently) a 19 year-old professional League of Legends player for the team Cloud9. Will takes the role of "Jungler" to a whole new level that regular players call "Jungle Carry."

In the society of the game Will is known as "Meteos the Unkillable." His skills are superior to most other Juglers. Not often does he make mistakes in game play, but when he does he knows what to do to avoid making the same mistake twice. His motto is "Learn from your mistakes, don't blame your team and have fun."

Will "Meteos" Hartman is by far my favorite League of Legends player not just because he's an outstanding player, but because he isn't like most other professionals, who think they are the best, and all other players are trash.

His teammates Sneaky, Balls, LemonNation and Hai bring out the best in the rift I think. Together they make Cloud9.

For this years League of Legends Championship Series, I hope that Cloud9 takes the win. Even if they don't, they will always be my favorite team.

They're great friends, and great guys.

"Anti-Bullying Week"

!!WARNING!!
This blog post you are about to read contains fowl language and is not suitable for youth audiences.

Anti-Bullying Week

Now as far as I am aware, there are hundreds of schools just here in Canada who are hosting the event "Anti-Bullying Week." Now I'm not saying that is a bad thing, but I do have some thoughts on the entire issue. Please bare with me here.

Below are some pictures that I have found on the internet via Google image search and therefore take no credit for ANY of the images.

This image you see here is the typical image most people will use to "show their support."
I am not saying that those people do not actually support the cause, but I do believe that there are some people out there that post the image just to "look like a good person." It happens all the time in our society.

You see most people will say "I'm not a bully." But believe it or not, most people don't actually know that they are bullies until it is pointed out to them. The stereotype of "The Bully" is also very horribly misleading.

Most people consider the bully as someone who is either:
A Rich Kid
An abused kid
A troubled kid
A child with "issues"
A child who suffered through a divorce in their parents' relationship
A child who has "the wrong friends"

The list goes on and on, but those are just a few of the main titles people call bullies.

To me personally a bully is just a regular person who is feeling something inside that they want to release. They want someone to feel what they are feeling per say. Now I could be completely wrong in my hypothesis, but this is just my guess.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The largest form of bullying occurs within the media and is fed to young teens and children at home. They will watch videos on YouTube, movies, TV shows, even read things in books. They will take those things that they have seen or read with them to school, and use them against other students or even just someone on the street.

Most people will bully others on how they look, or their sexuality.
These are some images I have found of different individuals.

Every single person looks different from the next. Even twins!
I think that everyone should cherish themselves and call themselves beautiful.

We all have our own style, our own thing, our own way of life.

The best role models out there are those who we call "freaks" those who we clam to be "insane" the stars who will go out of their way just to be different!

Some of those stars are:
Andy Six
Lady Gaga
Adam Lambert
Zachary Quinto
Neil Patrick Harris
T.R. Knight
Lance Bass
Ellen DeGeneres
Chely Wright
Rossie O'Donnell
Jennifer Lawrence

Even this list can go on forever. There are people out there who don't care how different others are.

The image below is a bullying .jpg uploaded by a bullied teen of whom I have no knowledge of.

Naturally I too am a victim of bullying, I do not deny how hard it was and still is for me to endure. But now I am a 21-year-old young woman with younger siblings as well as nieces and nephews who are suffering in what our society was lead to believe the safest place to be.
School.

My youngest brother has just started high school in September, and has been through bullying his entire school life. He is different. He is Autistic.
He is beautiful.

My younger sister is in her last year of elementary school and like our brother, suffers in bullying. The name calling is harsh. She is different. She is young.
She is beautiful.

My oldest nephew is in his second year of high school, and though he refuses to admit it. I know he's being bullied at school. He is different. He is strong.
He is beautiful.

My oldest niece is in a wheelchair, and has been since birth. The name calling doesn't get to her, she loves to smile and show how strong she is. She is different. She is defined.
She is beautiful.

My 10-year-ole niece is in grade 5 and just got her babysitter's licence. She is an amazing girl. She is different. She is inelegant.
She is beautiful.

My 7-year-old nephew just celebrated his birthday, and though he has his issues at school, he remains to smile. He is different. He is tough.
He is beautiful.

I am a woman who has been in a 5-year realationship with the boy I met in high school. He changed my life. I fight each day for me, and live each day for me. I am different. I am mature.
I am beautiful.

My youngest nephew is yet to turn one. He is small and innocent, clean of all sin and above all he is safe. He is different. He is new.
He is beautiful.

We are all different.
We are all beautiful.

My message to you is to not only participate in Anti-Bullying events, but to keep it going every day. Live with a smile, think positive and go about your life.

Help a friend, or a stranger on the street.

Be yourself.

Thank you for your time.
Please pass on this message to your friends and family.
Don't let the next generation suffer.

Panda Scarf

Ever since the dawn on time, my favorite animal has always been
the Giant Panda.

I have lots of Panda items here at home, I'll post pictures of my collection sometime.

But this is a scarf that I'm making, for myself of course.
But if you like it, you can order it from my little business and I'll craft it for you.

How awesome is that?

I can't give you the pattern, because sadly I don't have it with me right now, and it's also rather long. I'm sure you can find it on the internet however, it was a free pattern.

Anyway! Progress pictures!

The eyes came out a little different, but I like them that way.
Also instead of using teddy bear eyes, I used brass buttons to give it that vintage vibe. :)
